Volunteer Opportunities

If you love Jesus and love children, do we have an opportunity for you!

The need for caring adults with grace filled hearts is in great demand in the foster care system. In the middle of a pandemic the need is even more urgent. From fostering, to volunteering at a camp, taking a meal to a family with kids in care, or just praying, For The Children has a place for you.

Ephesians 2:10

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Royal Family Kids Camp has unlimited opportunities whether you can give up a week, a day or just a few hours.

Our camp is looking for people who excel in bible study, arts and crafts, music, drama, set design and acting. We need coaches, nurses, fishermen, photographers and all around jack of all trades and more.

If you have a desire to stand in the gap for abused children and have the time, we would love to meet you.

Camper Letter

Mentoring Clubs meet monthly during the school year. The kids get to spend time with their camp friends and camp volunteers.

We’ve got to meet and learn from police, EMS workers, firefighters and dog trainers (and more) as well as field trips to do crafts and to go fishing.

Mentoring Club is where relationships with the kids are strengthened. It’s not as fast paced as camp so we can get to known each other better.

Camper Talking about Mentoring

As our focus remains in both sharing the burden of childhood trauma and the love of Jesus Christ, we remain vigilant advocating for children in foster care in Central Illinois. This is done not only through camp and mentoring, but by aiding local foster families and state agencies. It truly does take a village to raise awareness.

Proverbs 31:8

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,

Camper letter of advocacy.
